Shanghai has launched an Internet curriculum studies platform for primary school teachers to enhance their skills via training and discussion, the Shanghai Education Commission announced yesterday.

Tens of thousands of elementary school teachers will be given an identity number each to compare notes on the Website of the Shanghai Educational Resources Center (www.sherc.net). Officials said it is the first government-run online teaching exchange platform in the country.
