College Girls Regret Having Premarital Sex
Adjust font size:

Guangdong Provincial Sexology Association released a Guangdong Sexology Report saying that though most college students hold an open and tolerant view toward premarital sex, it is not very likely for them to try it themselves.

In the survey, 57.6% of the respondents are tolerant toward premarital sex and cohabitation, while 28.4% say they strongly support this behavior. Only 13.5% of the respondents are against premarital sex.

The survey also shows that only very few college students have put premarital sex into practice. According to the statistics by Pan Suiming, a professor of the Beijing-based Renmin University of China, only 5% of college students in China have lost their virginity, and the proportion in Xi'an is no more than 7%, as a survey conducted in 5 colleges there says so.

However, virginity of spouses still matters a lot to many male students, as 53.4% of the male respondents say they won't marry women who have lost their virginity.

More than 76.6% of female respondents say cohabitation has affected their health badly, and 60% of them regret it.

Educationists believe cohabitation and premarital sex have a bad effect on the studies of students, and might pose a threat to their future marriage.
