BQ 2006 Big Name Awards Held in Beijing

The BQ 2006 Big Name Awards ceremony, organized by Beijing Youth weekly, was held in Beijing on Monday evening. It featured more than forty best-selling artists from the Chinese mainland, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Mainland actress Li Bingbing became the biggest winner of the night, picking up the Artist of The Year Award. Mainland actor Chen Kun was awarded 2006's Biggest Name, for his performance in movies like The Music Box and The Knot, as well as his progress as a singer.

Most Popular Mainland Actor Awards went to TV stars Chen Jianbin and Liu Yunlong. Liu is well known for his performance in the TV series Plots.
 
Mainland actresses Chen Hao and Mei Ting jointly won the Most Popular Mainland Actress Awards.

Taiwan actress Ruby Lin and actor Alec Su took away the Most Popular Actress (Hong Kong and Taiwan) Award and Actor (Hong Kong and Taiwan) Award respectively.

The Singer with Biggest Potential Award went to 2006 Super Girl Xu Fei, whose song Once in a Summer had already earned her a good reputation. Xu Fei and the 2006 Super Girl champion Shang Wenjie were also given the New Artist Awards.

The BQ 2006 Big Name Awards were awarded according to more than 10 million online votes submitted over two months.
