HK TV Dramas to be Broadcast on Mainland
Adjust font size:

Two TV dramas produced in Hong Kong, The Drive of Life and Hong Kong Sisters, are to be broadcasted on the Chinese mainland by the Central Television Station (CCTV).

The TV shows, shot by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), the largest broadcasting company in Hong Kong, are being aired as one of many activities to mark the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong's reunification with the mainland.

The Drive of Life features a collection of A-list Hong Kong TV stars, including popular actresses Charmaine Sheh and Myolie Wu, and experienced actor Damian Lau.

Despite not having as many big names in its cast, Hong Kong Sisters has an excellent plot. It tells the story of two sisters from Kong Lamma Island who chose different ways of life with differing social values.

The Drive of Life will be broadcast on CCTV-8 from June 30, while Hong Kong Sisters will be shown on CCTV-1 from June 16.
