Adjust font size:

A total of 18 children were killed Tuesday in a car bomb attack in a football field in al-Warrar neighborhood in Ramadi City, some 100 km west of Baghdad, the state television reported.

A car parked in a football field detonated suddenly when a group of children were playing football, the report said.

Violence rages in Iraq as sectarian killings, car bombings and roadside bombs cause dozens of Iraqi casualties daily.
