Chen Jianguo      

Chen Jianguo, a native of Rongcheng, Shandong Province, was born in July 1945.

He began his career in July 1962 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in April 1966.

He once attended a on-the-job postgraduate program of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, and worked as deputy director of the Yantai Prefectural Office of Industry and Communications of Shandong Province and concurrently secretary of the CPC Committee of the prefecture's Communications Bureau, deputy director of the Economic Commission and concurrently director of the Bureau of Metallurgy, a standing committee member of the CPC Yantai City Committee, secretary of the CPC Zhifu District Committee, vice-mayor of Yantai, deputy secretary of the CPC Weihai City Committee, and secretary of the CPC Yantai City Committee.

In 1992, he began serving as a member of the standing committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, vice-governor of Shandong, and deputy secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee.

He was appointed to his current position, secretary of the CPC Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee, in March 2002. Chen is an alternate member of the 15th CPC Central Committee.
