On August 7, 1927, the CPC Central Committee convened the August 7th Meeting in Hankou. The meeting corrected Chen Duxiu’s Right capitulationist mistakes and decided on the general principle of carrying out Agrarian Revolution and armed resistance against Kuomintang reactionaries. It also decided that the main task of the Party at the moment was to mobilize the peasants to launch the Autumn Harvest Uprising.
