Longtanhu (Dragon Lake) Park

Longtanhu Park, in the Chongwen District, has been rebuilt since the founding of New China in1949. You’ anmen Street runs through the center, as does the water of a moat leading to East lake.

New architectures at the park include a long corridor, the Double-Pavilion Bridge and Jizi Pavilion, all built in the traditional Chinese style. Dragons are to be found everywhere, with over 100 carved in wood throughout the park.

On the Spring Festival, which always falls on early February, a huge outdoor fair, like those at some temples and parks around town, is held with many shack stands and amusements set up for children.
