Professional Exhibitions Encouraged in TEDA
Adjust font size:

Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area announced on December 7 that it will introduce encouraging measures to promote the development of conferences and exhibitions.

The regulation, titled Interim Provisions of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area on Promoting the Development of the Modern Service Sector, is set to create a favorable environment for conferences and exhibitions and to promote the growth of various industries in the development zone.

According to the policy, local authority plans to give venue rental support to organizers of both brand-name exhibitions and professional exhibitions held in TEDA.  Brand-name exhibitions refer to those held by exhibitions that are recognized or authenticated by the UFI or those with at least 300 standard booths and a certain ratio between international exhibitors and visitors.  Professional exhibitions refer to those involving specific industrial fields, such as electronic information, auto and machinery manufacturing, biomedicines, new energy, new materials and circular economy.

The policy also states that the newly established professional exhibition companies and exhibition service companies will be granted certain financial support for five years after their founding in reference to their actual economic contributions, including their income tax and business tax.

Meanwhile, TEDA has already established a unified work team for conferences and exhibitions.
