Macao has seen a 4.1 percent unemployment rate between September and November, a year-on-year drop of 0.2 percent, according to official statistics issued on Wednesday.

The figures from the Statistics and Census Service showed that the number of jobless residents seeking their first job was around 1,400, or 13.7 percent of the total unemployed population between September and November.

Macao's total labor force was estimated at 254,000 in the period, the figures showed.

The special administrative region has a population of over 480,000.
