China Steps up Building Imports and Exports Monitoring System
Adjust font size:

The Ministry of Commerce is taking measures to further improve a system which can help it monitor China's imports and exports.

The ministry said Friday on its website the system, built in 2002, is an "all-around, advanced, convenient and fast" data analysis system.

The data includes information on statistics of the General Administration of Customs on Imports and Exports, monthly commodity quotas, quota license certificates, monthly technical contracts approved by the ministry, border trade commodities, key industrial products output, anti-dumping cases and related counter measures, as well as global trade and investment barriers.

The ministry can now monitor and analyze more than 95 percent of the global cargo trade volume via the system.

It also helps the ministry follow the global trade situation quickly and plays a vital role in helping the ministry to carry out and implement preventative measures and policies.
