Harbin to Host 22nd Int'l Ice Festival

The 22nd China Harbin International Ice Festival will raise curtain on January 5, 2006 in Harbin, capital of China's northern most Heilongjiang Province.

 

 

An economic trade fair will be held simultaneously, the organizing committee said.

 

The theme of the 22nd ice festival, sponsored by the government of Harbin City, is scientific, technological and cultural exchanges between China and Russia.

 

Currently, all the 1,200 booths have been reserved. Ten percent were ordered by overseas companies.

 

Recognized as an influential economic and trade platform, the festival has attracted business groups and individuals from 27 countries and regions including Russia, the US, Japan, Denmark, Canada and South Korea.
