An exhibition of photos of Buddhist sites in India was inaugurated at Jade Buddha Monastery (Yufo Temple) in Shanghai Sunday.

The photos, which were taken by Indian photographer Benoy K. Behl, have been donated to the temple by Indian Ambassador Mr. Nalin Surie, on behalf of the Indian government.

Consul General Mr. Vishnu Prakash of India and Master Jue Xing, abbot of the Jade Buddha Monastery, vice chairman of China Buddhist Association and chairman of Shanghai Buddhist Association attended the ceremony.

In his address, Jue Xing called the exhibition a valuable festive gift of far-reaching importance for Shanghai's Buddhist circle in the Spring Festival, the Chinese Lunar New Year.
