New 21st Century Committee for China-Japan Friendship to Open

The fourth meeting of the new 21st Century Committee for Japan-China Friendship will be held in Kyoto of Japan from March 23 to 24, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry.

 

Zheng Bijian, chief Chinese member of the 21st Century Committee for China-Japan Friendship, and his Japanese counterpart Yotaro Kobayashi will lead members of the two sides to attend the meeting.

 

The new 21st Century Committee for China-Japan Friendship, a policy consultation organization of the two governments, was established in July 2003 based on the consensus of the leaders of the two countries. It has held three meetings successively in Dalian in Northeast China's Liaoning Province, Tokyo of Japan and Kunming in Southwest China's Yunnan Province.

 

The fourth meeting will mainly discuss the issues including the present China-Japan relations and how to strengthen bilateral people-to-people exchanges and communications.
