China, Europe Combine to Educate Aviation Personnel
Adjust font size:

Being beneficiaries of China-Europe aviation cooperation, 48 Chinese have passed thesis tests and received master degrees jointly awarded by two French universities.

This was the second group of people trained by the "Aviation Safety Management Master Program." The students started in August 2004, majoring in aviation worthiness and aviation maintenance. Airbus, the world's leading aircraft manufacturer, provided financial and technical support to the program.

The students of the program, mostly from the safety management departments of Chinese airlines and the General Administration of the Civil Aviation of China, attended the courses jointly run by the Civil Aviation University of China and two French aviation universities. The program is aimed at enabling China's civil aviation education to reach international levels.

Laurence Barron, Airbus Senior Vice President and Airbus China President, said that "Airbus is committed to the development of China civil aviation."

"In China, we not only sell aircraft, but also provide the best customer services. We have forged a close partnership with the Chinese government and airlines," Barron said.
