The ASEAN foreign ministers will meet on April 19-20 in Bali, Indonesia, to discuss important issues in the region.

The issues to be discussed at the ASEAN foreign ministers' Annual Retreat, or informal meeting, might include the ASEAN centrality, and the strategies to implement the Vientiane Action Program, according to a press release from the Malaysian Foreign Affairs Ministry in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

During the meeting, Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar, who is also the chairman of the 39th ASEAN Standing Committee, will brief his ASEAN counterparts on his visit to Myanmar on March 23-24 this year.

The foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are also expected to meet the members of the Eminent Persons Group on the ASEAN Chapter.
