Two men were charged Tuesday night by New Zealand Police for involving in the murder of Chinese student Wan Biao four days ago.

Local Radio Talk ZB said a man has been charged with the murder of Wan Biao, who was found in a suitcase in Auckland's Waitemata Harbor on Good Friday.

Another 21-year-old, described as "unemployed," has been charged with "being an accessory after the fact," said Talk ZB.

TV One News said both of the accused will appear in the Auckland District Court Wednesday.

Police still want to speak to a group of about four women, who were on the corner of Wellesley and Elliot Streets in the central city at around 3.25 am on Good Friday, when Wan was killed.

The body of Wan Biao, 19, was found floating in the Waitemata Harbor last Friday, and the Police said that kidnapping may have been a motive, and a ransom of 800,000 NZ dollars was sought from Wan's parents in China.

Detective Inspector Bernie Hollewand, who is in charge of the case, is unavailable so far for further confirmation of the charges, while he said at a news briefing Tuesday afternoon "the Police is close to make arrests."

Three men were questioned Tuesday morning and one of them is a classmate of Wan who was said by the Police to have lured Wan to a hotel and asked ransom from Wan's parents in China.

Wan was killed hours later, said the Police.
