Senior CPC Official Meets Greek, Bangladeshi Guests

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met respectively in Beijing Wednesday with a delegation from the Communist Party of Greece and Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Mohd Hemayetuddin.

 

During his meeting with the Greek delegation, headed by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece Aleka Papariga, Wang expounded China's independent foreign policy of peace.

 

China and Europe should further enhance cooperation and consultation in a bid to promote world peace and stability and facilitate common development of the mankind, Wang said.

 

In his meeting with Hemayetuddin, Wang appreciated Bangladesh government's efforts in promoting bilateral party exchanges.

 

"Increased China-Bangladesh party exchanges are conducive to consolidating the political foundation for all-round bilateral cooperation," Wang said.

 

He also appreciated Bangladesh's support for China on Taiwan and human rights issues.

 

Hemayetuddin said Bangladesh attaches great importance to enhancing its ties with China, and is willing to join hands with China to further cement bilateral cooperation on bilateral, regional and international issues.
