China will stage a large-scale cultural exchange activity in Seoul of South Korea in September, according to the Information Office of China's State Council.

The event, carrying the title of "Feel China: ROK Trip," consists of exhibition of pictures on friendly exchanges, high-level forum on economic, trade and cultural ties and singing, dancing and Shaolin monk martial arts performances.

China Central Television and a TV station of South Korea will jointly stage an art performance in Seoul.

"It will be the largest cultural exchange activity China has ever held in South Korea," said an official with the office, which sponsors the event.

Chinese President Hu Jintao announced the activity during his visit to South Korea last November. During the visit, leaders of both countries pledged making joint efforts for the sustained development of the comprehensive partnership of cooperation between the two countries.

The activity is supported by many government departments, associations and businesses of both countries, including the SK group of South Korea and the China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company.
