Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan attended a reception marking the 45th anniversary of the signing of a friendship treaty between China and North Korea in Beijing Wednesday.

 

The reception was held by Choe Jin-su, ambassador of North Korea to China.

 

Yang Hyong-sop, vice president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of North Korea, also attended the reception.

 

Yang arrived in Beijing on Tuesday morning for a five-day visit. Chinese President Hu Jintao and top legislator Wu Bangguo had met with him.

 

He had attended a reception held by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-North Korea Friendship Association on Tuesday evening marking the anniversary.
