Party officials of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) reaffirmed on Friday their stances to promote the development of China-DPRK friendly and cooperative ties.

"It is China's firm policy to consolidate and develop the friendly and cooperative ties with DPRK," He Yong, a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, told Kim Jin Ha, secretary of the municipal Party committee of Pyongyang, capital city of DPRK.

He, also deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, noted that the Chinese side is ready to work with the DPRK side to carry out the consensus reached by the top leaders of both countries for the continuous development of China-DPRK friendly and cooperative ties.

Kim said it is the consistent position of the Worker's Party of Korea and the DPRK government to continuously consolidate and develop DPRK-China friendly and cooperative ties, which is in the fundamental interests of the two countries and the two peoples.

The two also exchanged views on the domestic situations of each other's countries, according to the International Department of CPC Central Committee.
