Working Group Starts Meetings in Beijing

The six-party talks working group on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula began its first meeting in Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on March 17, 2007, focusing on specific measures of the denuclearization.

Chinese chief negotiator Wu Dawei who heads the working group, presided over the meeting.

Chief negotiator of South Korea Chun Yung Woo arrived at the meeting site.


US top nuclear negotiator Christopher Hill arrived at the meeting site.

Japanese chief negotiator for six-party talks Kenichiro Sasaeat the meeting site.
