4 Bln People to Enjoy Olympic Broadcast in 2008

According to Sun Weijia, the director of the Media Operation Department of Beijing Organizing Committee for Olympic Games (BOCOG), 2007 World Broadcaster Briefing will be held in Beijing from September 23 to 29, when the issue of the broadcast of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will be discussed.

 

More than 300 broadcasters from around the world will participate in the briefing, and Beijing Olympic Broadcasting (BOB), the official broadcaster of 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, will give an introduction to their arrangement of broadcasting operation. BOCOG will also give a report on the events, stadiums and gyms, traffic, hotels, technologies, presswork, tickets, etc. The Paralympic Games will also be a topic of the briefing.

 

This will be the third and the last briefing of its kind, after the two previous ones in 2005 and 2006, all hosted by BOCOG and BOB.

 

During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 16,000 personnel of 200-plus authorized broadcasters will come to Beijing , when more than 4 billion people in the world will be covered by the broadcast of the Games, including both radio and television.
