3,435 Suspected Dengue Cases in Pakistan

As many as 3,435 patients with signs and symptoms similar to those of dengue fever have so far been admitted in different hospitals in Pakistan by Tuesday evening.

 

According to the ministry of health, the total number of patients declared positive for dengue virus across the country stands at 1,178.

 

So far a total of 35 deaths have occurred from dengue fever across the country, 33 from Sindh province and two from North West Frontier Province.

 

A total number of 500 patients have so far been admitted to different hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi with symptoms similar to those of dengue fever. During the last 24 hours, four new cases of viral fever were found positive for the accursed disease there.

 

The total number of positive cases of dengue virus in the twin cities now stands at 179.
