Poor Visibility Affects 40 Flights in Nepal
Adjust font size:

Over 40 flights, including four international flights on Wednesday were affected after foggy conditions delayed operations in Nepali international airport.

Lower visibility caused by heavy fogs canceled 55 domestic and four international flights on Tuesday.

The Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), the only international airport in the country, could open only at around noon Wednesday.

Likewise, Gulf and Druk Airways were unable to make their scheduled arrivals here in the capital due to poor visibility in the TIA while poor weather grounded Nepal Airways' 8:30 (0245 GMT) flight to Bangkok.

Meanwhile, the Qatar Airways flight which arrived here at around 11:15 (0530 GMT) was rerouted due to the poor visibility, airport officials said.
