ZTA Chief Executive Officer Karikoga Kaseke was quoted by local media as saying on Thursday that the event will market Zimbabwe to the world as a safe tourist destination and conference center.

The event which will run until the fourth of February is the second biggest global tourism fair after the World Travel market and will lure international buyers of tourism services where more than 12, 000 exhibitors are scheduled to showcase their products and services.

Kaseke said that ZTA will also take the opportunity to market Zimbabwe as a pre match safe camping area for countries that will be participating in the 2010 world cup set for South Africa,

The Zimbabwean delegation will be headed by Kaseke, players in the private sector, while officials from other hotel groups are expected to make collaborative efforts in marketing the country as a safe tourism destination.
