Imart Continues to Foster Cult of Creativity
Adjust font size:
Hundreds of creative young people have gathered to show their work at the third Imart, a two-day open-air market that opened in Guangzhou on November 27, 2006.

All of the ideas on sale are original pieces of work, fresh from the imaginations of the artists, who hail from cities that are far flung as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Haikou and Beijing. Best-selling items include fancy handmade dolls, as well as T-shirts, caps and notebooks sporting artistic designs.

The acclaimed street dancers from the Speed Crew group and DJ Scratch are invited to provide live performances to liven up the event.

City Pictorial magazine and Guangzhou Design Week 2006 sponsor Imart with the aim of developing the creative culture in China.

The fair attracted a number of visitors when it was held in Beijing in October.
