Huang Jianxiang Joins Phoenix TV

Controversial CCTV's ex-football commentator Huang Jianxiang has recently joined the world famous Hong Kong Phoenix TV to host a new sports talk show.

China News Service reported yesterday that in 2007 Phoenix TV will produce a new talk show program entitled "Everyday Sports." Huang will host it.

Huang signed a contract with Phoenix TV recently. According to sources this daily program will fully dig out Huang's potential, talent, passion and opinions as a sports host and commentator.

The topics covered will range from culture, society and life with the core topic being sport. Huang's friends and celebrities will be invited onto the show to talk about significant events and tell funny stories.
 
Huang achieved his notorious fame by shouting "long live Italy (team)" when hosting a CCTV live program broadcasting a football match between Italy and Australia at the FIFA 2006 World Cup in June. He quit CCTV in November.
