Taiwan actress Rene Liu and Chinese mainland actor Sun Honglei won the top awards at the 13th Shanghai Television Festival, which was held from June 11 to 15.

The two were awarded the Magnolia Prizes for best actress and actor in TV dramas respectively. Rene Liu portrayed a modern office lady who married a man born in the countryside in the TV series, "Xin Jie Hun Shi Dai", or "Modern Marriages". Sun Honglei gave an impressive performance in the popular TV drama, "Ban Lu Fu Qi", or "Meet You in My Middle Age".

The Best Director Award went to the mainland young director, Yan Po, who is the director of "Modern Marriages"
