Seventy contenders competed against each other for the title of Best Pole Dancer over the weekend at Beijing's first pole dancing competition held at a bar in the nightlife district of Sanlitun.

The two-day event, jointly organized by Beijing Bodybuilding Association and Lolan Pole, attracted participants from all over China, as well as three foreigners from the United States, Australia and Spain.

Pole dancing is becoming an increasingly popular form of exercise among both women and men.
