Action film superstar Jackie Chan has launched a clothing brand,
hoping to publicize Chinese clothing in the way he has done for
Chinese kung-fu.
Chan on Wednesday inaugurated a "Jackie Chan" leisure wear shop
in a trendy shopping mall in Kunming, capital city of southwestern
China's Yunnan Province.
He said at the ceremony that by launching a specific label for
clothes of Chinese style, he wanted them to become well-known
worldwide.
Chan's presence has attracted a multitude of fans, among them a
12-year-old boy, who was overjoyed with tears as Chan autographed
on his "Jackie Chan" T-shirt.
Jackie Chan also has launched a coffee shop chain under his
name.
