After having gained success in the domestic film market, many Chinese actresses seek opportunities in Hollywood for further development. As a rising star in China, Huang Shengyi also headed for Hollywood for a high budget film with super star Meryl Streep and Jean Reno.

Sources reported that, this high budget film, which is Huang Shengyi's first appearance in Hollywood, is now shooting in Alaska.

No longer portraying a tough image that Chinese actresses always represent in Western films, Huang Shengyi in this film will come out as a charming Asian girl and has a romance story with French actor Jean Reno, the Star Daily reports.

Mel Gibson will be the executive producer of the film, whose name has not been decided yet. Meryl Streep, a two-time Oscar winner and recipient of ten Academy Award Nominations, is also costarring in this film.
