Chinese rising star Wang Baoqiang was appointed the United Nations ambassador of AIDS prevention among migrant workers, Shenyang Evening News reported.

Wang Baoqiang, who was once a struggling migrant worker in Beijing, is now one of the most popular stars in China. His earthly performance in several films and TV series won the favor of the Chinese audience. His performances at 2008 CCTV Spring Festival Gala further established his role of representing migrant workers.

As the ambassador of AIDS prevention among migrant workers, Wang Baoqiang will take part in some charity events to attract more people to pay attention to migrant workers.
