Hong Kong actress Sammi Cheng has been appointed ambassador for the 32nd Hong Kong International Film Festival, which will be held from March 17 to April 6.

As ambassador, Sammi can watch any of the films presented at the festival, Tungstar reports.

At the Wednesday press conference she admits that her favorite movies are Stephen Chow comedies, a popular Hong Kong actor with a slapstick sense of humor.

As an actress, Sammi does not want to become type cast and wants to play a variety of roles, especially those of bad women.

She says she wants to cooperate with the famous female director Ann Hui and act in one of her women-featured movies.

Also, the actor she would most like to work with is Tony Leung, a Hong Kong actor famous for his ability to express himself through his eyes.

Just finishing her holiday in Japan, Sammi will now set off on a tour of performances in the United States and New Zealand.
