Hong Kong actor Louis Koo hopes to work as a film producer in the future and his first choice is science fiction films.

The star said that the success of Stephen Chow's "CJ7" made him confident about the future of science fiction films in Asia, shanghai-based paper Oriental Morning Post reported on Friday.

At the beginning of this month, Koo released a book in collaboration with screenwriter Yau Nai-Hoi, titled "Toys Battle," revealing his love for collecting models.

He said that he recently tried to find investors to put the book on the big screen. Though his goal will be difficult to attain, Koo is determined to press on.

"It may take eight or ten years to finish the movie. The biggest problem is money," the Post quoted as Koo saying.

He said that he will next work on another crime thriller produced by To Kei-Fung.
