Oscar-winner 'Titanic' has been voted the greatest hit of all time in a poll of 6,000 movie fans.

The Sun reports that the movie, that grossed a record 500 million pounds, beat out the 2005 remake of 'King Kong'. Directed by James Cameron, 'Titanic' stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

'Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring' came in third followed by 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi'.

The top 10 list also includes 'Jurassic Park', 'Independence Day', 'Transformers', 'Gladiator' and 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'.
