Singer-actor Richie Ren has gotten one step closer to his dream of working with fellow star Andy Lau, since the performers are now represented by the same company.

Hong Kong entertainment empire East Asia Record welcomed Ren to its client roster on Tuesday, local newspaper Wen Wei Po reported.

The Taiwan star says he sees his new role at star-studded East Asia Record not a competitor, but a collaborator with its numerous stars.

East Asia Record represents A-list entertainers such as Andy Lau, Leon Lai, Sammi Cheng and Miriam Yeung.

Ren says he has always wanted to co-star in a film with Andy Lau, and expects his dream to come true soon.

East Asia Record has reportedly mapped out a blueprint to help the singer-actor accelerate his career.

Ren's first performance under the company will be two charity concerts to be held at the Hong Kong Coliseum on May 4 and 5, a fundraiser for a local hospital.
