The National Garment Association gave out its annual prestigious awards to notable Chinese fashion designers at the Beijing Exhibition Center Theater Friday.
The China National Garment Association Awards, sponsored by Zoje Sewing Machine Co., Ltd., held its annual gala at the Beijing Exhibition Center Theater, attracting nearly 3,000 audience members from the fashion and entertainment industry.
The brand Ellassay collected the fashion award while Trands collected the best quality award. The design award went to Yingdak, and the innovation award went to the White Collar brand. Balabala, which is good at designing children's coats, won the best potential award, and the biggest brand in China, Youngor, left with best marketing award.
Some special awards were also given. The Ports, according to the association, had the greatest performance among other international brands in China. The public choice award went to Meters/Bonwe, and the most valuable fashion brand is Saint Angelo. The veteran brand Bosideng earned the achievement award.
Acclaimed singers such as Valen Hsu, Alec Su, and Daniel Chan lent their voices to the celebration that night.
The China National Garment Association Awards was founded in 2004, with the ambition to set up an exchange and exhibition platform for Chinese brands and to help establish successful international brands and boost the Chinese clothing industry.
It is now widely recognized by those in Chinese garment industry. Its jury includes a wide range of members from the local garment industry, the national fashion industry, garment enterprises and retailers. The number of jurors is commonly more than 100, which is why the association claims they are more professional and fair. It would take 6 months for jurors to examine and vote for the nominees.
