The 2010 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF) will be held in April, where relevant experts and companies from various countries and regions will showcase their latest green technology and explore the future of the green industry, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) said on Monday.
Organized by the IPIM, the MIECF consists of green industry exhibitions, business matching and environmental protection forums. This year's event theme will be "Macao, the Green Gateway, Green Knowledge, Green Technology, Green Finance."
The exhibition area of this year's MIECF has been increased by over 10 percent to 13,775 square meters compared with last year, with more than 200 participating enterprises and organizations, according to the IPIM. There will be multiple themed areas, including the Macao Pavilion, the Pan-PRD Exhibition Area, the European Union Pavilion, etc.
Meanwhile, two different forums will be held on April 9, namely on "Low-Carbon Building and Eco City" and "Clean Technology and Circular Economy." Government officials, experts, industry leaders and representatives of international organizations from over 10 countries and regions will share their research results and experience with the audience, to promote the popularization and implementation of green living.
As in the past, in order to enhance public environmental awareness and to educate the public on how to enjoy green living, this year's MIECF will continue to hold the "Green Public Day" and open the event to the public, the IPIM also said.
