The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has worked with Yunnan's provincial government and local governments within the province on projects to protect the province's biodiversity since 1998. Currently, TNC is cooperating with the local government to implement model programs in the Laojun Mountain National Park and the Meili Snow Mountain National Park.

To achieve sustainable development in the project areas, TNC is looking for more public projects. It also aims to increase social awareness for environmental protection and encourage initiative in protecting the local area.

Selection:

• The areas of the project should be within Laojun Mountain National Park and Meili Snow Mountain National Park.

• The project should protect biodiversity, sustainable development of resources and the community.

• The budget should be under 80,000 yuan (about US$11,700).
