Mexico and India have agreed to press ahead with action against climate change at the UN climate conference late this year, Mexico's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met visiting Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa Cantellano and said his country was ready to cooperate with Mexico in making sure that the UN conference, to be held on Nov. 29-Dec. 10 in Cancun, Mexco, yields successful results.

Espinosa also met her Indian counterpart Somanahalli Mallaiah Krishna on ways to strengthen bilateral trade and economic links and boost cooperation in technology, science, education and culture.

The two sides agreed to hold regular high-level meetings.
