Nanmadol, the 11th tropical storm hits China this year, made a landfall in Jinjiang City of southeast China's Fujian Province at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, local authorities said.

Nanmadol was packing winds up to 72 km per hour in the center when landing the city. It is expected to hover around the coastal regions of Jinjiang for a while.

The tropical storm brings strong rainfall to the region, and the precipitation is expected to last until September 2, local meteorological authority said.
