ConocoPhillips in talks with govt on compensation funding

ConocoPhillips announced Wednesday that the company is in discussion with the Chinese government and third parties to establish of two foundations used to protect the environment and compensate those who have suffered economic losses due to pollution, Beijing Times reported.

 

The talk, which includes CNOOC, is in response to public probing efforts into the delayed compensation funding establishment.

 

ConocoPhillips China has also said that the company has dissolved its coastal patrol team.
