Rainy days are forecast for the city, as a wet and warm air current arrives from the southwest, forecasters said yesterday.

Rain is predicted from today until Thursday, said the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

The high will rise to above 10 degrees Celsius today, before dropping to under 5 degrees towards the weekend.

For tomorrow and Wednesday, the high will range between 6 and 11 degrees, with lows of between 4 to 7 degrees.

From Thursday, with a cold front from the north arriving, the rain will cease and the mercury will drop.

The city, however, will still not see much sunshine as overcast conditions are set to dominate.

For Thursday and Friday, the maximum temperature will be 5 degrees, with the minimum down to zero.
