Four more areas across Australia's New South Wales (NSW) have been declared natural disaster zones following recent flooding in the state, NSW Emergency Services Minister Michael Gallacher announced on Tuesday.

The minister added Bogan Shire, the Hills Shire, Wollongong City and Narromine to the list of council areas which will receive government assistance after flooding in February and March.

So far, the total number of local government areas declared Natural Disasters has reached 63.

"This has been a trying time for many communities across NSW and these declarations assist business owners, primary producers and residents to get back on their feet sooner," Gallacher said.

"The State Emergency Service continues to conduct flood response operations across central and southern NSW with the support of other emergency service organizations, government agencies and community organizations," he said.
