Nineteen people have died due to sunstroke following heat wave in the eastern state of Odisha till Saturday.
The state government has advised people not to venture out of their homes in the afternoon, an official said in Bhubaneswar, state capital Saturday.
Weather office predicted that the heat wave would prevail for few more days and the temperature might increase. Schools and colleges are closed due to summer holidays but many people have taken leave from work.
