The French Transport Ministry on Monday said up to seven French nationals were still missing in the Caribbean after the deadly Hurricane Sandy storm swept the region.

Authorities in Martinique and French Guiana, two overseas regions of France, launched operations to track the missing on Sunday.

According to news channel BFMTV, the group disappeared while returning from a concert in Dominica.

Hurricane Sandy, which killed 66 people in the Caribbean, moved toward the east coast of the United States on Tuesday.
