5.4-M quake hits New Britain region, Papua New Guinea

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted New Britain region, Papua New Guinea at 23:41:53 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 6.00 km, was initially determined to be at 5.7427 degrees south latitude and 151.5574 degrees east longitude.
