An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted near the south coast of Papua, Indonesia at 18:32:26 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 27.30 km, was initially determined to be at 4.4449 degrees south latitude and 134.8469 degrees east longitude.
