6.6-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea

An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted Papua New Guinea at 9:32 a.m. Beijing Time Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 60 km, was initially determined to be at 6.5 degrees south latitude and 154.6 degrees east longitude.
